Blue Creek Cabins was born out of a life-changing moment and a desire for something more meaningful.

I’ve been a builder since 1985 and was working on a high-rise project in Atlanta when 9/11 happened. That day, only one other worker and I showed up for the job. The world felt different, and I knew it was time for a change. Later that evening, while sitting around the fire pit with friends, I shared my decision not to return to the city for work. When they asked what I planned to do next, I kicked a few embers into the fire while shaking my head and said, “I don’t know… maybe I could create a place far from the city, away from traffic and noise, where people can relax, reconnect with nature, and unwind from life’s pressures.”

That simple thought sparked the beginning of Blue Creek Cabins.

From that moment, everything started falling into place—almost miraculously. The 30 acres of land next to us went up for sale, the bank approved our loans, and we truly felt God’s hand guiding us. Since then, we’ve been blessed to share this peaceful corner of the world with others.

My wife joined me in this adventure after we got married in 2007, and with the help of our family, we’ve continued to grow Blue Creek Cabins into what it is today. We operate our business based on Christian values, always striving to offer hospitality, honesty, and heart in everything we do.
