“What a great spot! It’s easily accessible by the roads leading up to the cabin, quiet, the cabin is rustic and lovely (but very clean and well stocked). The hosts were communicate and helpful. We had a great stay!”

“We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was perfect for our family of six, with room to spare. It was so cozy and had everything we needed and even more. The location to downtown Helen was super close, just took minutes to get there. We especially loved all the little decor details in the cabin. The game room was so much fun for our entire family! Highly recommend this cabin for your Helen stay!”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bear Crossing. The cabin is exactly like the photos and did not disappoint in any way. It’s extremely convenient with how close to Helen it is. Yet you’re surrounded by woods and feel isolated and peaceful. Many days leaving we would see deer or other wildlife wandering around and on our last day out there was a black bear hanging out in the cul-de-sac. Luckily, he kept to himself after knocking over the bear proof trashcan. We would definitely repeat a stay again. Absolutely wonderful cabin and hosts.”

“Came to Helen for a short getaway with my grandkids. From the very beginning, everything was top-notch. Cabin easy to get to nestled in the woods. Great location, town just a few minutes away. Kids loved the game room. They had their own area where they slept downstairs. Well taken care of in plenty of room. The fire pit was the highlight of the evening along with the hot tub. Would highly recommend.”

“The unit is decorated in a very cute cabin way. Very spacious. Beds sleep well. Extra pillows available. The amenities are as described. The hot tub was wonderful, especially as it was under cover and it rained every day of our trip! :( Be aware that the road is very rough for big heavy motorcycles: if we had come on the bikes as planned it would have been very difficult to manage although not impossible. The only two 'complaints' are that the seating is limited for a house that sleeps 9, and there is no good place to keep non perishable food in the kitchen. We had 6 people and had to bring in a bench to eat at the table. And the living room furniture seems to be split up between the upstairs and downstairs. So the fireplace ledge was used for seating. And the main kitchen is well stocked with dish ware and gadgets, but there weren't any empty cabinets to put the groceries in. Not major issues, just things to be aware of. Yes, there is wildlife, as we did see a bear in the driveway.”

“The cabin is nestled into a beautiful wooded area and the fire pit area is real pretty. Lots of outdoor deck spaces to enjoy also. The inside decorated real nice with lots of nods to the bear theme. Sadly, there was a very bad odor like mildew/sour smell throughout the cabin and was worse downstairs. The downstairs game room was a lot of fun! I really didn’t like the fact that toilet paper was limited to one roll. And they weren’t full rolls when we arrived. I also would like to see more coffee cups available. We enjoyed the hot tub!!! It’s a nice cozy screened in area.”

“Wonderful location and everything worked with the games,electronics, and hot tub. Truly enjoyed our stay. Very glad they stress the need for a higher clearance car. The road itself has many holes/bumps, so had to very careful.”

“This is a great cabin in both location and privacy. Even though you can see other cabins near by you feel like you have your own private woods. The location near the town of Helen is great. It is a couple of minute drive or a 15 minute walk into town. The accommodations are perfect for a large family or two small families. The kids loved the bunk room that is on the same level as the game room. The game room is great for keeping the kids entertained and the upstairs living room is nice for the adults. Having the place decorated for Christmas was a plus. Also, the fire pit is great.”

“House was very clean and decorated nice for the holidays. Music was playing and it smelled great inside, with some wine and important information on the counter. Great location to get to downtown Helen, but far enough away that we didn’t have to fight any downtown traffic. This cabin was great and perfect for two families with kids 8 and 13.”

“The cabin is close to everything but still secluded. It's nice and fully furnished. The driveway is a little bit rough but with the recent heavy rains it is to be expected. Loved it here and would stay again!”

“The cabin was clean, organized, and exactly as described. The welcoming note, chocolates, and wine was super unexpected! Everything was well kept and in great shape. the bedding was comfortable and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Check-in and checkout were easy and simple instructions left for both were extremely helpful. Can't wait to go back for another weekend!”

“We had a great time staying in Helen, GA! There’s so much to do in the area. We hiked to Dukes Creek Falls, rode the alpine coaster, went zip-lining, went tubing, and ate at several fun restaurants. We were two families staying in Bear Crossing cabin. It’s a great cabin and the game room area is perfect for the kids. The only big downsides are the carpets in the cabin and the Adirondack chairs outside could both use some updating. The pool table is in rough shape too, but the kids still enjoyed it. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay there and the cabin is in a perfect location to get to/from all that Helen has to offer. The closest major grocery store seems to be Ingles and it’s around 7 miles away so grab groceries on your way in (you’ll need to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels). We were too dumb to figure out the smart thermostat and the management company was super responsive and had someone out to help us right away. We were super impressed!”

“We stayed here for our Christmas vacation. The cabin was decorated with a Christmas tree and all of the lights and festivities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin on a mountain. Just moments away from downtown Helen, Georgia, we ate at a lot of wonderful restaurants and did a lot of activities. I highly recommend Bear Creek.!”

“The cabin was amazing and perfect for us 6 adults. The unit was very clean and maintained. It was decorated with warm and inviting Christmas decorations on the inside. It felt like we just walked into a Hallmark card when we walked in. We loved the outside firepit and spent a few evenings out there. The hot tub was a major plus. The kitchen had everything you needed and we did cook 3 out of the 4 nights there. The downstairs was big along with its own large bedroom / bath and plenty of games to keep everyone busy. Overall we would def come back to this cabin. We had plenty of towels and the washer / dryer was a plus. Make sure you bring your own shower soap, hair products, a few rolls of toilet paper /paper towels and trash bags.”

“We LOVED this cabin, especially the hot tub in the screened porch and the firepit! It is in a very peaceful location in a cul-de-sac in the woods. The location is close to town by car, and is technically "walkable" but you should know that it's a very steep hilly road; takes about 25 minutes to walk. The game room downstairs in the basement is an amazing add on, especially with the kids room and bathroom - PLUS the bar area. It's also nice to have this area very easily accessed by the firepit area. The living room is very cozy with the fireplace. About a 40 min drive north is Brasstown Bald; a must see if you visit this cabin. Highly recommend this place!”

“Helen is a gorgeous town, and the cabin was perfect for our needs. Our children loved playing with in the game room downstairs, which left the hot tub to the adults! Could not have planned it better if I tried! The very steep driveway made my children think they were on a rollercoaster, but nothing too scary. The cabin is secluded and peaceful which is exactly what was needed.”
