“Cabin was exactly as described. Within 20 minutes of downtown Helen. Within 20 to 40 minutes of most major hikes and waterfalls within the area. Property was nice. We encountered close to a dozen deer, wild, turkeys, redheaded woodpeckers, and tons of other birds. Quiet and peaceful if you’re looking to escape city life.”

“My 12yr old Son and I spent two nights at this property recently. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and well supplied to get you started. The pool table, foosball table and darts were perfect for the rain events we experienced. Definitely print out directions as GPS can be intermittent. All in all, this cabin was perfect!”

“My family had a wonderful stay at Blue Creek Shoals- hot tub was nice, pond and creek were the best parts with kids. Inside the cabin was very clean, just as pictures online. Love the layout and everything provided. We used the grill one night, fished multiple times, and the distance to Cleveland and Helen is very ideal.Beds are very comfortable, nice showers, lots of room for the kids to play.”

“This was a perfect getaway to spend quality time w my mom and brother , I lost my sister in Oct. so was trying to regroup after that, love the water and jacuzzi. Had to gather our own wood for fire pit. And if you’re planning on grilling don’t forget to bring charcoal. We really enjoyed our self’s.”

“This is our 3rd or 4th stay in Blue Creek Shoals. My wife and I enjoy being surrounded by the trees, gardens, wildlife, and especially Blue Creek itself. The sound of flowing water is absolutely soothing to the soul. It is very affordable, and close to Cleveland and Helen proper, several wineries, and of course, you own private trout pond. “Older home that’s been renovated into a cabin. Need instructions to find light switches. But very comfortable cabin and the beds were very comfortable, slept well and didn’t wake up with any back pain so that’s a plus! Will definitely stay here again as travel to this area often.”

“We made our first trip to Helen, GA on April 14, 2023. The cabin overall was great! Everything was ready for us and the check-in could not have been simpler. We really didn't use the upstairs but it looked clean and ready to go. The carpet had recently been cleaned and smelled fresh. The downstairs bed room was great. The bed was a little soft for our tastes but we sleep on a firm mattress at home but keep that in mind if you like a firm bed. The master shower is large but the pebbled floor was a bit strange and not exactly comfortable on the feet but not a big deal. Maybe it encourages guests not to say in too long? Bring shower shoes! The hot tub was clean and warm and a nice way to relax after a drive. I suggest turning the temperature up 15 minutes or so before you get in if you want it hot versus warm. I also suggest bringing extra towels if you want to use the hot tub. The host provides towels but they are really for the shower. Bring some beach size towels for the hot tub. You can dry them off in the dryer to use them again. The last half mile or so to the cabin is dirt and gravel but the signs point you the right way. Take it slow and watch out for deer. We saw several over the weekend! If you need groceries be sure to plan ahead and pick them up before you get to the cabin. Cleveland is about 20 minutes down the road and the Ingel's there is great! Had everything we needed including sandwiches and hot food for after we got done hiking around the area. I also recommend picking up a bag or two of ice while getting groceries. We had not planned on doing any fishing in the trout pond which is good because it looks like they are renovating it. Same goes for the garden on property. It needs some spring tending which I am sure is coming. We especially enjoyed listening to the water run through the creek below the property. We didn't have time to explore much around the grounds or trails at the cabin but it is a nice, wooded area. The internet access is excellent. If you have access to things like Netflix, or Disney+ remember to bring your passwords and use them to log into the Smart TVs. This is helpful if rain keeps you from going out. The cabin is connected to the "Guest House" via the back porch and the porch is separated by a door. Supposedly someone was staying there the same weekend we were there but we never heard anything. It was a quiet and peaceful two nights for us. One other thing I would note. The staircase going to the second floor is not enclosed and there is no safety railing keeping someone from falling back into the main room when using the stairs. Not really an issue for adults but could be a problem for a family with young kids. You will need to keep them off the stairs. We certainly would stay here again. It was a great weekend away and something we really needed. We appreciate how easy it was to book the room and had all questions answered. Enjoy Helen, GA!”

“My wife and I together with our little puppy had a great time at the Blue Creek Shoals, we enjoyed spending time at the house, cooked a lot as the kitchen provides you all the tools and features needed, to be extra picky a hood on top of the stove would have been perfect to pull all the steam and the smoke/smell off. Hot tub was great as well and we took several walks down the steam (little river) with a nice area to relax and if you are in the mood of grilling you can as there are few grills by. we will definitively go back if we will stop by the area”

“We stayed at this property for almost a week. The place was very clean/well maintained, and the check-in/out process was extremely easy and hassle-free. The location is perfect and quiet. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. This is the place to go if you want to spend some quiet and relax time. The beds were very comfortable, and the reclinable chairs were very comfortable as well. The kitchenware was enough for my stay, but it may need an upgrade or add more items to it. I would definitely rent this place again, and recommend it.”

“Had an issue with the house but luckily management responded quickly and fixed the issue in a very timely manner. Nice kitchen with more than enough for a family of 4 and was nice location to get away from the busy life. Just a heads up, this house is attached to another cabin. We went here to get away from people and wish we would of known the whole cabin wasn’t ours. Luckily our neighbors were homebodies and stayed inside most of the time. The creek was pretty to have a fire by at night under the stars, but couldn’t swim in.”
