1. Yonah’s Coffee Co.

You can choose from various coffee options, ranging from drip coffee to their signature lattes. If one cup isn’t enough, pick up a bag of coffee beans to bring back to the vacation rental with you. And if caffeine isn’t your thing, be sure to try their infamous hot cocoa!

Yonah’s Coffee has a limited breakfast menu, complete with breakfast sandwiches and bagels. On any given day, you’ll see plenty of people lining up at Yonah’s to grab their morning coffee and a bite to go before heading to that day’s adventures.

Muller’s Famous Fried Cheese Cafe offers a blend of German and Czech cuisine featuring one very important ingredient: fried cheese. If you think breakfast and fried cheese don’t go together, you’re in for a surprise.

Open seven days a week, Muller’s offers a little bit of everything. You’ll find German staples like bratwurst and schnitzel breakfast. You can go with a classic American dish like ham and cheese omelets or pancakes. But if you’re feeling adventurous, we recommend the Fried Cheese breakfast. Everything you love about a classic breakfast topped with fried cheese is a no-brainer.

Muller’s also has plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options, giving guests a range of choices. No matter what breakfast item you go with, you won’t be disappointed.

 

3. Hofer’s Bakery and Cafe

4. Dottie’s Kitchen

Dottie’s Kitchen is the local joint you don’t want to skip during your stay in Helen. Located in a quaint building in the heart of Downtown, Dottie’s is known for its quintessential Southern breakfast. Looking for pancakes topped with bacon? They’ve got that. A classic French toast with a side of grits? You’ll find it here.

But what they might be most famous for is their “Cat Head Biscuits.” Made fresh daily, these homemade biscuits are the size of, you guessed it, a cat’s head! They’re delicious on their own, but you can also get them as a breakfast sandwich or with classic jam fillings. We have a feeling you’ll be back for more before your trip ends.

5. Village Crepe Haus

We can’t think of a more charming spot to enjoy breakfast than Village Crepe Haus. The quaint white-and-green building offers the perfect German atmosphere, complete with outdoor bistro seating as you people-watch on Main Street.

While you might come for the ambiance, you’ll stay for the delicious crepes. Their menu includes both sweet and savory crepes, packed with delicious fillings that range from Nutella and strawberry to Philly cheese steak crepes. If you’re with a group, be sure to get a variety of crepes and try them family style.

The wait can be long, so we recommend giving yourself plenty of time before your next activity. We promise you - it will be worth it!

They serve American classics, such as the Southern-style eggs benedict or Ham and Cheddar omelet. For a lighter option, they offer a parfait with fresh fruit. After breakfast, take a stroll around the stunning resort grounds nestled in the Nacoochee Valley.

Breakfast is served from 8 to 11 a.m. daily, and reservations are recommended.
